Job Description
Job Title: Experienced Embedded Security Technician Role Summary: Field-service technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting embedded security systems—including access control, CCTV, and associated hardware—at client sites. Provide post‑installation support, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs, ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. Expactations: Minimum 1–2 years of hands‑on experience installing and servicing access control & CCTV systems; ability to perform ladder work up to 24 ft, lift up to 75 lb, and work on-call after hours and weekends; valid driver’s license. Key Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and commission new security systems (access control, CCTV, door hardware, automatic doors, IP media converters). • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and calibration of equipment. • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software faults including lock mechanisms, IP cameras, media converters. • Conduct system start‑ups, check‑outs, and performance validation. • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and compliance with safety and proprietary information protocols. • Build and maintain positive customer relationships to support contract retention. • Participate in training and stay current with product and technology updates. Required Skills: • Proficiency in electronics/electromechanical troubleshooting and installation. • Knowledge of Windows Server/Client environments and Microsoft Office suite. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Capable of working safely in various field conditions.
