Job Description
Job Title: EMEA Category Management – Infrastructure Role Summary: Lead the commercial strategy and lifecycle management for the infrastructure product portfolio across the EMEA region, driving sales growth, margin optimization, and continuous innovation from ideation to market launch. Expectations: Lead a remote team of up to 5 members; travel up to 30% within the region; maintain continuous communication with sales, product development, engineering, and vendors; deliver timely analysis and action plans. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute category strategy for product lines, services, and solutions, including pricing, value positioning, and margin targets. - Manage product lifecycle: launches, rationalisation, make‑or‑buy decisions, cost optimisation, and vendor management. - Build and deepen product knowledge, propose portfolio enhancements, and define innovation pipeline in partnership with IPD and Engineering. - Train sales teams on technical application, product features, and solution selling. - Capture Voice‑of‑Customer insights, conduct market trend and competitor analysis, and translate findings into actionable initiatives. - Monitor category performance metrics, analyse results, and recommend corrective actions. Required Skills - Proven experience in B2B (or B2C) infrastructure, fluid‑management, or related sector. - Strong commercial acumen, pricing strategy, and margin management. - Leadership of distributed teams and cross‑functional collaboration. - Analytical mindset with capability to interpret market data and customer insights. - Excellent English communication; German and French valuable but not mandatory. - Technical understanding of electrofusion or mechanical joints a plus. Required Education & Certifications - University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline. - Relevant certifications in category management, supply‑chain, or product marketing are advantageous.
