Job Description
**Job Title** Finance Placement – 12‑Month Industrial Scheme **Role Summary** Short‑term, full‑time placement for students in the penultimate year of a finance, accounting or business degree, or an integrated master’s programme. The role places the candidate within the finance team of a manufacturing facility, providing hands‑on experience in financial reporting, cost management, asset tracking and project support. **Expectations** * Complete a 12‑month placement beginning July 2026. * Gain exposure to a variety of finance activities and learn how financial information underpins business decisions. * Perform core tasks and participate in cross‑functional projects, delivering independent work with guidance from a mentor. * Acquire skills that will prepare the student for a graduate finance role post‑graduation. **Key Responsibilities** * Produce monthly financial reports for operations. * Support cost‑reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiency. * Maintain and audit the fixed‑asset register. * Assist with the Mach 1 deployment project and other finance‑led projects. * Respond to ad‑hoc queries from internal stakeholders. * Collaborate with finance and business teams on data collection, analysis and reporting. **Required Skills** * Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Basic understanding of financial statements and reporting concepts. **Required Education & Certifications** * Current enrolment in the penultimate year of a finance, accounting or business degree, or an integrated master’s programme (eligible to join if meeting year‑level requirements). * Academic performance of at least a 2:2 in the final year is required for consideration of the subsequent graduate scheme. ---
