**Job Title**: Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**: Own and evolve the cloud and platform infrastructure for a high‑growth fintech, driving reliability, scalability, and delivery efficiency. Lead CI/CD, cloud architecture, automation, containerisation, and IaC initiatives, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence across a complex environment.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5 + years of DevOps/SRE experience in fast‑paced engineering teams.
- Proven leadership of technical initiatives and mentorship of junior engineers.
- Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with software, security, and product teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain production‑grade CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
- Architect, scale, and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deliver IaC using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Lead containerisation strategy with Docker and Kubernetes, including CI/CD integration.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts/tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Embed security, compliance, and best‑practice frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO, GDPR) across the stack.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and drive reliability improvements.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for incident response and uptime assurance.
- Mentor and support DevOps engineering staff.
- Maintain clear documentation of systems, tooling, and processes.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, Ruby or equivalent.
- Deep experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
- IaC expertise with Terraform, Ansible, and/or CloudFormation.
- Strong Docker & Kubernetes knowledge (deployment, scaling, monitoring).
- Networking fundamentals (VPC, subnets, load balancers, security groups).
- Monitoring/logging (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) competency.
- Knowledge of compliance/security frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO, GDPR).
- Experience with microservices, serverless, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate) preferred.
