Job Description
**Job Title:** Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (Interim) **Role Summary:** Senior leader responsible for directing the full FP&A cycle for a large services organization, delivering strategic financial insight to senior leadership, and elevating the performance of the FP&A and Business Partnering teams. **Expectations:** - Lead annual budgeting, multi‑year forecasting, and long‑term planning aligned with corporate strategy. - Serve as principal financial adviser to the CFO and board, translating data into actionable recommendations. - Build and mentor a high‑performing FP&A function, ensuring rigorous reporting and analysis across business units. - Provide timely financial modelling for new services, capital projects, and organizational changes. - Monitor performance against KPIs, identify variances, and drive corrective actions. - Produce clear management reports, dashboards, and narrative insights for executive decision‑making. - Champion continuous improvement of planning processes, forecasting models, and data systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee the end‑to‑end financial planning cycle (budget, forecast, long‑term plan). - Develop and maintain financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases. - Lead the preparation of board‑level presentations and strategic financial briefings. - Manage a team of FP&A analysts and business partners; set standards for analysis and reporting. - Track financial performance metrics, conduct variance analysis, and recommend mitigation actions. - Design and implement enhancements to financial processes, tools, and data governance. - Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to support operational decision‑making. **Required Skills:** - Proven leadership of commercial finance teams in large, complex organizations. - Advanced analytical and quantitative abilities; expert in interpreting complex financial data. - Strong proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including board‑level interaction. - Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments and drive change. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Professional finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) highly desirable. - Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in senior commercial finance leadership roles, preferably within a comparable industry.
