Job Description
Job title: Operational Risk Officer – Third‑Party Risk (F/M) Role Summary: Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of operational risks related to third‑party engagements. Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements such as DORA, maintain an up‑to‑date risk and control map, perform second‑line controls on third‑party processes, and provide risk guidance to management and stakeholders. Expectations: • Minimum 2 years in risk management or internal control, ideally with exposure to Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) and/or DORA compliance. • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in insurance, banking, or asset management, or equivalent experience as a consultant in these sectors. • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with IT Security, Business Continuity, Procurement, and business units. • Proactive communication skills and capacity to train and raise awareness on third‑party risk issues. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct risk identification, evaluation, and continuous monitoring of third‑party relationships. 2. Update and maintain the organization’s risk and control register, incorporating TPRM dimensions. 3. Perform second‑line controls on processes linked to third‑party management. 4. Advise management and staff on risk mitigation actions and best practices. 5. Design and deliver training and awareness sessions on third‑party risk. 6. Facilitate compliance with DORA requirements, coordinating remediation actions. 7. Prepare and present operational risk reports, loss data, and internal control effectiveness to governance bodies. 8. Ensure adherence to group‑wide policies and standards within the French entity. Required Skills: • Expertise in operational risk management and internal control frameworks. • In‑depth knowledge of TPRM processes and related regulatory standards. • Familiarity with DORA regulations and digital operational resilience requirements. • Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of translating technical risk concepts for senior leaders. • Ability to work in a cross‑functional, multi‑cultural environment. • Proficiency with risk‑management tools and Microsoft Office suite. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Level 5) in Business, Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or equivalent. • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Manager, Certified Internal Auditor, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
