Software Engineer - 12 month FTC

Job Description

Job title: Software Engineer – Frontend (12‑Month FTC) Role Summary: Deliver high‑quality, maintainable frontend features for reward and free‑to‑play betting applications across multiple brands. Collaborate with product owners, backend teams and stakeholders to design, implement, test, and optimise user-facing experiences using React and related technologies. Expectations: - Produce clean, scalable code and adhere to best practices in security, quality, and operational excellence. - Own feature delivery from design through release, including performance optimisation and automated testing. - Contribute to system architecture discussions and uphold engineering standards. - Communicate effectively, support teammates, and grow technical skills. Key Responsibilities: - Design, code, unit‑test, and deploy frontend components in React, JavaScript/TypeScript. - Collaborate with product owners to interpret requirements and design solutions. - Work with backend teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless end‑to‑end user experiences. - Optimize existing production systems for performance and reliability. - Maintain accurate technical documentation and automate repetitive tasks. - Participate in architectural reviews and mentor junior colleagues. - Identify and resolve bottlenecks, applying problem‑solving techniques in a collaborative environment. Required Skills - Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. - Experience with Node.js, PHP, and basic understanding of Java. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs, state management, and component‑based architecture. - Unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library) and CI/CD pipeline experience. - Knowledge of performance profiling, build optimisation, and security best practices. - Experience with Git, branching strategies, and code review processes. - Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant certifications in front‑end development or cloud technologies are a plus.
