**Job Title:** Software Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Senior software engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, high‑quality web products that serve a global payment platform. Works on end‑to‑end solutions, collaborates across teams, and shapes the technical vision of the product line.

**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Design, develop, and deploy scalable web services and frontend components using the company’s chosen technology stack.
2. Participate in architecture reviews, capacity planning, and performance tuning of distributed systems.
3. Write clean, testable, and well‑documented code; maintain comprehensive automated test suites.
4. Own feature lifecycles from concept through production, driving iterative prototyping and experimentation.
5. Mentor peers, contribute to open‑source initiatives, and share technical insights through post‑mortems and internal talks.
6. Collaborate closely with product, design, data, and operations teams to meet delivery deadlines and quality standards.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficient in one or more backend languages (Ruby, Go, Python) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with web frameworks (e.g., Rails, Go web frameworks), RESTful/APIs, and React/React Native frontend development.
- Strong foundation in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and analytical data tools (BigQuery).
- Hands‑on knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes), search engines (Elasticsearch), and monitoring (Prometheus).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform, and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to write automated tests, perform code reviews, and ensure high code quality.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., GCP Cloud Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus but not mandatory.
