Job Description

**Job Title:** Data Scientist – NLP & AI **Role Summary:** Build intelligent healthcare solutions by developing and optimizing natural language processing (NLP) modules, integrating large language models (LLMs), and leveraging AWS big‑data technologies to enhance clinical data extraction, transformation, and utilization. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality NLP models and workflows that accurately process clinical text. - Apply cutting‑edge deep learning, LLMs, and agentic workflow tools to improve existing pipelines. - Design scalable data infrastructure on AWS EMR/Spark and relational databases. - Produce clear technical documentation, testing procedures, and user guides. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, product, and clinical teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze, preprocess, and validate clinical textual data using advanced NLP and machine learning techniques. - Integrate tools such as LangGraph and AWS Bedrock to create generative AI applications and agentic workflows. - Develop and maintain NLP modules in Python, ensuring code quality and reproducibility. - Build ETL pipelines on AWS EMR/Spark, manage data flow from diverse sources (e.g., MCP servers). - Design and implement SQL queries, data models, and indexing in PostgreSQL/MySQL for efficient storage and retrieval. - Create testing frameworks, error‑handling logic, and documentation for NLP outputs. - Collaborate with engineering to scale data workflows and optimize performance. - Stay current on healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCDA) and emerging generative AI use cases. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Python and scripting for NLP/machine‑learning development. - Strong knowledge of clinical NLP techniques, machine learning, and deep learning models. - Hands‑on experience with LLMs and agentic workflow tools (LangGraph, LangChain). - Expertise in SQL and big‑data technologies (AWS EMR, Apache Spark / PySpark). - Practical understanding of AWS services, particularly AWS Bedrock for generative AI. - Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Engineering Degree (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc) in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. - Technical certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or NLP) are desirable.
