Job Description
**Job Title:** Cloud Software Internship (12 Months) **Role Summary:** Interns join a multidisciplinary team developing cloud‑based applications, rich UIs, and agentic systems for clients in smart home, healthcare, and robotics domains. The role involves coding, testing, deployment, and collaborative solution design while learning industry‑leading practices and technologies. **Expectations:** - Complete a 12‑month industrial placement oriented to software engineering. - Work independently yet collaborate closely with software, UX, design, mathematics, testing, and DevOps colleagues. - Drive projects from ambiguous concepts to functional deliverables, contributing to code quality and continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Develop, test, and deploy cloud‑based applications. 2. Collaborate on architecture and design of software solutions. 3. Participate in code reviews and implement best practices. 4. Monitor and troubleshoot application performance. 5. Stay current with emerging technology trends and tools. **Required Skills:** - Strong programming foundation (Java, Python, or comparable languages). - Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Understanding of software development principles (OOP, testing, CI/CD). - Effective communication and teamwork. - Problem‑solving aptitude and willingness to learn new tools. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrolment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering). - Acceptable academic record (e.g., above‑average grades). - Eligibility for a 12‑month industrial placement as part of course. - No mandatory certifications required, though knowledge of cloud platforms is appreciated.
