Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary: Manage and maintain a hybrid on‑premises and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high reliability, performance, and security.
Expectations: Deliver proactive monitoring, automation, and incident response for Windows and Linux environments; support device provisioning and hardware upkeep; implement secure network and firewall configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper‑V, clustering, file shares).
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and configuration.
- Provision company devices and monitor infrastructure health.
- Support Linux servers (FTPS/SFTP, Apache configuration).
- Maintain and troubleshoot networking (IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, routing).
- Manage server hardware, RAID arrays, and component replacements.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, access controls, and security policies.
- Provide occasional on‑site IT support and hardware fixes.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Linux server management (FTPS/SFTP, Apache).
- Networking fundamentals (IP, VLAN, DHCP, routing).
- Server hardware knowledge, RAID, and component maintenance.
- Firewall and access control configuration.
- Familiarity with DFS, iSCSI, WSUS, imaging, HP switch configuration, PRTG, pfSense/OPNsense, SAN, Ansible, Terraform, Cyber Essentials, or data centre operations.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or similar) preferred.
