Job Description
**Job title** Data Analyst Apprentice **Role Summary** A Level 4 apprenticeship that trains an individual in data analytics while supporting the business transformation team. The apprentice collects, cleans, analyses and visualises data from multiple operational domains (quality & engineering, manufacturing performance, market performance, sales & delivery). They develop dashboards and reports, communicate findings to non‑technical stakeholders, and manage small projects from conception to delivery. **Expectations** - Complete a 2‑year Level 4 apprenticeship standard in Data Analysis. - Rotate through four information domains to gain cross‑functional knowledge of how data drives decisions. - Acquire hands‑on experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Databricks (SQL & Python) and advanced Excel. - Produce clear visualisations, dashboards and ad‑hoc reports for business users. - Demonstrate project‑management skills, meeting milestones and delivering on time and within budget. - Develop professional skills such as written and verbal communication, influencing, teamwork, time management and decision‑making. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Use SharePoint, Power BI and Databricks (SQL, Python) to perform basic data analysis. 2. Create visualisations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively. 3. Support the development of regular and ad‑hoc reports for business stakeholders. 4. Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements and business challenges. 5. Participate in meetings and workshops to gather feedback and refine analytical outputs. 6. Communicate findings clearly to non‑technical audiences. 7. Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring milestones and objectives are met. **Required Skills** - Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Proficiency in SharePoint, Power BI, SQL and Python (Databricks). - Data visualisation and dashboard creation. - Reporting and analytical writing. - Stakeholder engagement and communication. - Teamwork, influencing and decision‑making. - Time‑management and organisational skills. - Valid UK driving licence (own vehicle). **Required Education & Certifications** - Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship, A‑levels, BTEC, etc.) or equivalent two‑year relevant work experience. - Minimum of five GCSEs, including English and Maths Grade 4 (C) or above. - Basic experience with Excel and Microsoft products. - Completion of the Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship standard (training partner QA). - International qualifications must be officially equated to UK standards (ENIC or equivalent).
