Job Title: Data Governance Manager
Role Summary: Drive enterprise data quality, accuracy, and compliance by analyzing, designing, and implementing sustainable data governance solutions across core systems (CRM, reporting platforms). Collaborate with stakeholders to embed controls and streamline workflows, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
Expectations: Deliver measurable improvements in data accuracy, reliability, and efficiency within a 12‑month contract; act as a data stewardship champion and technical liaison between business and IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze inefficiencies in core data systems and design streamlined, quality‑enhancing solutions.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis of data issues and implement corrective actions via system configuration, automation, and process redesign.
- Embed controls to reduce manual processing and enforce data integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, system owners, and data stewards to deliver sustainable improvements.
- Design, document, and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Define data quality metrics; build reconciliation and reporting tools for governance KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Produce data documentation (data dictionaries, process maps, governance playbooks).
- Develop guidance and training to enhance data literacy and stewardship.
Required Skills
- 3+ years in data governance, data quality, or related role.
- Proficiency in data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and master data management.
- Experience delivering solutions that improve data accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
- Ability to work with software development teams, automation initiatives, and complex system configurations.
- Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills for complex datasets and translation into actionable improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management across technical and non‑technical audiences.
Technical Skills
- Hands‑on experience with CRM reporting and data quality management.
- Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, CRM dashboards).
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, CISA, Data Governance Professional) preferred.
