Job Title: Mobile Developer – Hybrid
Role Summary:
Seasoned Mobile Engineer with 6+ years of iOS development, responsible for designing, building, and managing iOS applications and integrating them with backend services. Adept at technical documentation, architectural decision‑making, and delivering high‑quality, industry‑compliant mobile solutions.
Expectations:
- Deliver end‑to‑end iOS features on schedule; prioritize tasks to meet project milestones and avoid conflicts.
- Produce clear technical documentation for code, architectures, and processes.
- Lead and mentor a development team on best practices, design patterns, and quality standards.
- Apply domain knowledge in insurance to ensure compliance and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and deploy production‑ready iOS applications.
- Integrate iOS mobile stack with backend services and APIs.
- Review, clean up, and evolve existing codebases; refactor for maintainability and performance.
- Enforce iOS best practices, architectural soundness, and security guidelines.
- Create and maintain technical artifacts: design documents, user stories, architecture diagrams, and release notes.
- Act as the primary technical liaison for product owners, project managers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies or tools to improve development workflow.
Required Skills:
- 6+ years professional experience in iOS development (Swift/Objective‑C).
- Proficient in iOS SDKs, Cocoa Touch, and Apple design guidelines.
- Experienced with iOS architecture patterns, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands‑on experience integrating mobile apps with backend services (REST, gRPC, GraphQL, etc.).
- Strong command of object‑oriented design principles and code quality metrics.
- Advanced documentation writing and technical communication.
- Leadership experience: architectural decisions, technical guidance, and mentoring.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills.
- Preferred: Experience building for the insurance industry; knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Android development knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
