**Job title**
Senior AI/ML Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and scale AI/ML solutions for healthcare billing and revenue‑cycle automation. Own model development, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines that drive measurable business outcomes for internal teams and external customers.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end AI features on the platform that improve claims processing, resubmission, and workflow optimization.
- Translate prototypes into production‑grade systems, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance.
- Influence the overall technical AI strategy and product roadmap.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and maintain AI infrastructure: data pipelines, model training/serving, monitoring, and scaling.
- Develop and deploy high‑impact ML/AI use cases (e.g., NLP for invoice classification, predictive accuracy for denials).
- Evaluate and choose appropriate AI techniques (deterministic ML vs. LLM) based on ROI, cost, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, data, ops) to integrate AI into core workflows.
- Define and enforce rigorous processes for model versioning, testing, and monitoring.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the organization.
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
**Required Skills**
- Strong software engineering foundation; design patterns, clean code, CI/CD.
- Expertise in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn).
- Experience with NLP models (BERT, GPT‑style, spaCy, etc.).
- Knowledge of data pipelines (SQL, Spark, Airflow, etc.) and data storage (PostgreSQL, BigQuery).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferred GCP, but not required).
- Experience with infrastructure-as‑code (Terraform), monitoring, and security compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of production software development; 5+ years of AI/ML engineering in a professional setting.
