Job title: Vertex AI Lead Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable machine learning solutions on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on Vertex AI. Own end‑to‑end MLOps workflows, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with data scientists, solution architects, and DevOps to operationalize AI initiatives.
Expactations:
- 7+ years overall in data/ML engineering, with at least 3 years hands‑on Vertex AI/GCP experience.
- Expertise in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit‑Learn.
- Strong grasp of MLOps principles, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and IaC (Terraform preferred).
- Proven ability to architect and maintain Vertex AI Pipelines, Feature Store, Model Registry, and monitoring.
- Advanced problem‑solving, debugging, and cross‑functional communication skills.
- Google Cloud ML Engineer or Architect certification preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy large‑scale ML models using Vertex AI.
- Build and optimize MLOps pipelines for training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Integrate Vertex AI with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
- Manage model lifecycle: versioning, CI/CD, governance, and production support.
- Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and service reliability.
- Mentor team members and provide architectural guidance on AI/ML best practices.
