**Job Title:** ETL Developer
**Role Summary:** Experienced ETL Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data integration pipelines using SSIS, SQL Server, and Python within financial or investment banking environments.
**Expectations:**
- 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in data integration and ETL development.
- Deep proficiency with SQL, SSIS, SQL Server, and Python.
- Ability to work in regulated finance contexts, delivering reliable, auditable data flows.
- Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines using SSIS and Python.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, data models, and workflows.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and error handling across pipelines.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data integration solutions.
- Maintain and update source‑to‑target data mappings, transformation logic, and metadata.
- Manage version control and CI/CD pipelines for ETL artifacts and related scripts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues in production and testing environments.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced SQL programming and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in SSIS (detailed package design, control flow, data flow, event handling).
- Expertise in Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
- Experience with SQL Server (including SSIS integration, catalog management, and database administration).
- Familiarity with Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in finance or investment banking data environments (preferable).
**Preferred Skills:**
- Understanding of financial data structures, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, S3, LakeFormation).
- Knowledge of data lake architectures, big data services (HDInsight, Databricks).
- Exposure to financial instruments, trading systems, or portfolio management tools.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.
- Certifications in SQL Server (MCSA/MCSA), SSIS, or cloud platforms (Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Data Analytics Specialty) are advantageous.
