**Job Title:** Business Analyst (Software)
**Role Summary:**
Acts as the primary liaison between product management, engineering, QA, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure software features and enhancements are defined, developed, and delivered in line with business objectives. Drives requirement gathering, user story creation, and cross‑functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through release and post‑launch analysis.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 3 + years of technical or business analysis experience in software development environments.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
- Proactive communication of risks, progress, and results to program and product leadership.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, pilots, and post‑trial measurements.
- Competence in troubleshooting, supporting UAT, and delivering functional enhancements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Partner with product managers and engineers to capture, refine, and prioritize business requirements.
- Author detailed, user‑centric requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
- Lead cross‑functional sessions to define platform capabilities and roadmap items.
- Support the full product development cycle: ideation, design, development, testing, deployment, and UAT.
- Execute pilot programs, conduct post‑trial analysis, and report KPI outcomes.
- Provide functional and technical issue resolution, including minor fixes and enhancements.
- Monitor feature progress, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate status updates.
- Assist with data instrumentation, analytics, and KPI tracking across platform features.
**Required Skills:**
- Business analysis and requirements engineering (user stories, use cases, functional specs).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, QA, and operations teams.
- Basic technical troubleshooting and understanding of software applications.
- Proficiency with data analysis and KPI reporting tools.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI‑ACP, Scrum Master) are a plus but not mandatory.
