**Job Title:** Senior Business Development Manager **Role Summary:** Lead the end‑to‑end commercial cycle in an industrial consulting environment. Drive client acquisition, contract negotiation, and profitability while building and mentoring a high‑performance engineering team. Own a profit center, ensuring revenue growth and margin excellence. **Expectations:** - Deliver significant value creation to secure a capped variable pay aligned with performance. - Expand a robust client portfolio across energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. - Maintain or improve profit margins and overall business unit profitability. - Foster a culture of excellence and continuous professional growth within the team. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Commercial Leadership** – Develop and execute a strategic business plan, identify prospects, and close contracts with industry clients. 2. **Profit Management** – Own P&L, set pricing, control costs, and maximize margin on high‑value projects. 3. **Client Relationship Management** – Understand client needs, propose tailored solutions, and ensure long‑term partnership and retention. 4. **Team Building & Development** – Recruit, mentor, and coach engineers and business‑development staff, aligning talent with project demands and career paths. 5. **Stakeholder Collaboration** – Work closely with the Business Unit Director and cross‑functional teams to align strategy, resources, and deliverables. 6. **Continuous Improvement** – Utilize industry best practices to enhance processes, service delivery, and business development effectiveness. **Required Skills:** - Strategic business planning and sales cycle management. - Strong negotiation and contractual expertise. - Financial acumen: P&L ownership, pricing, and margin management. - Leadership and team‑building capabilities. - Excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship‑building skills. - Familiarity with industrial consulting, project management, and large‑scale industrial projects. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. - Proven experience in managing a client portfolio or profit center in an industrial or consulting context. - Certifications such as PMP or equivalent project‑management credentials are an advantage but not mandatory.
