Job title Machine Learning Engineer Role Summary Design, develop, and deploy transformer‑based NLP models (text classification, summarization, language generation) that operate efficiently on limited datasets, ensuring scalability, performance, and code quality within a fast‑moving AI platform. Expactations * Deliver production‑ready LLM solutions that meet defined performance benchmarks. * Continuously evaluate and iterate on model architecture and training strategies. * Maintain high code quality through automated testing, documentation, and peer reviews. * Translate cutting‑edge research into reliable production components. * Communicate technical findings clearly to cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Build and fine‑tune transformer models (BERT, GPT, etc.) for specified NLP tasks. * Preprocess and augment datasets, including tokenization, feature extraction, and data verification. * Optimize models for speed, memory, and inference cost while preserving accuracy. * Integrate models into webAI’s core platform using Python and libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. * Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and collaborative development cycles. * Monitor model performance in production, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements. * Stay current with NLP and LLM research; recommend and test innovations for practical application. Required Skills * Minimum 2 years of professional ML work focused on NLP and LLMs. * Deep understanding of transformer architectures and end‑to‑end NLP pipelines. * Strong Python programming skills; experience with Hugging Face, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch. * Proficiency in data preprocessing, tokenization, and feature engineering. * Familiarity with model optimization techniques (quantization, pruning, distillation). * Ability to write clean, well‑documented, maintainable code. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Self‑motivation for continuous learning and problem solving. Required Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field (Master’s preferred).
