Job Description
**Job Title**: Tooling Project Manager – Design & Integration (M/F) **Role Summary**: Lead end‑to‑end tooling projects from concept through delivery. Act as the technical liaison with clients, ensuring projects meet cost, schedule, and quality targets while managing the full project lifecycle, including design, estimation, procurement, manufacturing coordination, validation, and on‑site handover. **Expectations**: - Deliver projects on time, within budget and quality standards. - Maintain accurate project reporting and provide corrective actions. - Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Client & Project Management** – Serve as primary technical contact; manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality; report status and corrective actions. - **Design & Development** – Analyse client needs, draft specifications, create preliminary technical studies, and perform detailed CAD design. - **Cost Estimation & Supplier Management** – Estimate study and manufacturing costs; issue RFQs, evaluate vendors, and select suppliers. - **Production Oversight** – Coordinate design studies and manufacturing activities; ensure delivery of compliant tooling to the client. - **Validation & Handover** – Validate studies and deliverables against client requirements; oversee final delivery on client site. **Required Skills**: - Mechanical engineering expertise with advanced CAD proficiency. - Strong project management capabilities (scope, cost, schedule, risk). - Vendor negotiation and procurement skills. - Excellent written and spoken communication; ability to present technical information to non‑technical stakeholders. - Proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative mindset. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industrial design discipline. - Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial design/engineering environment. - Familiarity with industry safety, ergonomics, and environmental standards.
