Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support AI‑driven healthcare automation products. Drive reliability, performance, and cost efficiency for distributed backend services written in TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
Expectations: Deliver production‑grade infrastructure quickly, provide proactive capacity and security planning, and enable rapid feature releases with minimal operational risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes across one or more public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Design IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) for reproducible, version‑controlled environments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI) for automated testing, linting, and deployment to staging/production.
- Monitor systems with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/CloudWatch, set up alerts, and conduct post‑mortem analysis.
- Optimize cost and performance by right‑sizing resources, automating scaling, and caching.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts, service meshes, and observability instrumentation.
- Enforce security best practices: secrets management, IAM policies, network segmentation, compliance audits.
- Troubleshoot cross‑service failures, race conditions, and deployment regressions.
- Mentor junior engineers, review architecture proposals, and lead design discussions.
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managed services (EKS, GKE, AKS, ECS, Lambda, Cloud Functions).
- Proficiency in container orchestration, Helm, and service mesh concepts.
- Experienced with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
- CI/CD pipeline design, scripting (Bash, Python, Go), and automation tooling.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting architecture.
- Ability to design resilient, scalable microservice architectures.
- Familiarity with Typescript/Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA/CKAD), or equivalent.
