Job title: Data Analyst, Trust & Safety
Role Summary:
Data Analyst in Trust & Safety drives product improvements that enhance security, regulatory compliance, and member trust through data science, experimentation, and stakeholder collaboration.
Expectations:
- Partner across product, engineering, research, and design to translate analytics into actionable product decisions.
- Lead end‑to‑end experimentation: design test plans, define success metrics, run analyses, and communicate insights.
- Monitor performance KPIs, detect trends, and provide strategic guidance.
- Champion a test‑and‑learn culture, presenting data narratives that inspire change.
- Execute data‑driven recommendations through to implementation and business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain analytical infrastructure and dashboards (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Conduct advanced statistical analyses, including causal inference, to support product decisions.
- Design and oversee A/B tests, cohort studies, and multi‑sided experiments.
- Translate business questions into SQL queries and reproducible code in R or Python.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, risk, engineering, marketing) to define metrics and roadmap priorities.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, present findings, and influence product roadmaps.
- Iterate on metric frameworks to capture evolving user behaviors and product impacts.
Required Skills:
- 3–5 years of data‑focused work (post‑internship) in product analytics, preferably B2C/FinTech.
- Expert SQL: complex joins, data exploration, performance tuning.
- Proficiency in R or Python for automated, reproducible analytics.
- Hands‑on use of BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Experience leading experimentation, statistical analysis, and causal inference.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills to convey insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically, navigate ambiguity, and drive results.
- Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., Google Data Analytics, SAS, or similar) are a plus but not required.
