Job Description
Job Title Senior Business Systems Data Analyst – Finance, Billing & Data Analytics Role Summary Contract senior analyst responsible for planning, testing, and executing the transition of legacy finance and billing data to an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Acts as liaison among business leaders, technical teams, and EDW engineers to ensure data models and reports meet business objectives and governance standards. Expectations * Lead impact and requirement analyses for finance and billing data migration. * Manage stakeholder communication and deliverables to ensure smooth adoption of new EDW capabilities. * Maintain data quality, governance, and accuracy throughout the migration lifecycle. Key Responsibilities 1. Partner with finance and billing functional leads to map current processes and source system dependencies (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce). 2. Gather, document, and validate requirements for data model design and EDW implementation. 3. Design and build SQL queries, joins, and subqueries to extract, transform, and verify data for migration. 4. Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Tableau that support stakeholder reporting needs. 5. Validate data accuracy, relevance, and alignment with business rules; resolve discrepancies. 6. Provide ongoing support and training to business users on new data structures and reporting tools. 7. Contribute to impact assessments, transition plans, and adoption strategies for the EDW platform. 8. Identify process improvements to enhance data quality, reporting efficiency, and system integration. 9. Produce user guides, training materials, and reference documentation for new data assets. Required Skills * Minimum 5 years in a data‑analysis or business intelligence role. * Proven experience with finance and billing data (Quote‑to‑Cash, General Ledger). * Working knowledge of at least one ERP system (SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce). * Advanced SQL (query optimization, joins, subqueries). * Tableau visualisation design and dashboard development. * Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving aptitude. * Familiarity with data quality and governance best practices. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Experience with data migration or system modernisation projects is advantageous. Required Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred. * Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or SAP Certified Application Associate) are a plus.
