**Job Title**
Azure Solution Architect
**Role Summary**
Design, lead and validate cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, security, cost, and operational excellence. Collaborate with DevOps, development and product teams to craft cloud-native designs, drive automation, and support continuous improvement of the Azure environment.
**Expectations**
* Deliver high‑quality, compliant Azure architectures for infrastructure and application services.
* Act as the trusted Azure technical subject‑matter expert across the organization.
* Proactively identify gaps, propose new services, and participate in roadmap planning.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Architect cloud solutions for Azure infrastructure and applications.
* Contribute to Azure technical roadmap and product vision.
* Collaborate with DevOps to create solution designs using cloud‑native patterns.
* Enable automation for DevOps teams (CI/CD, IaC).
* Identify and recommend new Azure services and components.
* Review and approve technical designs, ensuring compliance with standards.
* Validate design‑to‑implementation alignment.
* Embed security and reliability into all Azure solutions.
* Partner with DevOps on joint planning, progress tracking, and cost forecasting.
* Raise cloud cost awareness and coordinate budgeting with the Cloud Cost Management team.
* Develop PoC/PoV as needed.
* Document solution designs, decisions, and operational guidance.
**Required Skills**
* Deep expertise in Azure architecture (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, networking, security).
* Proven experience in designing cloud‑native patterns and solutions.
* Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
* Ability to evaluate, recommend, and integrate Azure services.
* Solid understanding of cloud cost management and budgeting.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Familiarity with compliance, governance, and security standards (e.g., ISO, NIST, CIS).
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Azure Solution Architect Expert certification (AZ-305) required.
* Additional certifications in Azure DevOps, Security or Cloud Governance preferred.
