Job Description
**Job Title:** Aero Data Quality Engineer **Role Summary:** Oversee and ensure the integrity of aerodynamic performance data across wind tunnel, CFD, and on‑track telemetry. Design and enforce data validation and quality control procedures to support correlation projects within the Aero Performance group. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, reliable aerodynamic data for analysis. - Maintain rigorous quality assurance standards. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with aerodynamicists, engineers, and data scientists. - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues. - Conduct regular audits and recommend continuous improvements. - Participate in flexible project‑based attendance as required. **Key Responsibilities:** - Validate and audit aero performance data from wind tunnel tests, CFD simulations, and telemetry. - Develop, implement, and document data validation and QC processes. - Coordinate with aerodynamicists, engineers, and data scientists to diagnose and fix data anomalies. - Perform periodic reviews of data quality workflows to drive enhancement. - Liaise with other Aero Performance group members and cross‑disciplinary engineering teams. - Adapt attendance and task focus based on project priorities. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail capabilities. - In‑depth knowledge of aerodynamic data acquisition methods. - Proficiency in a mathematical or scripting language (Python preferred). - Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey technical findings to stakeholders. - Collaborative teamwork orientation; supportive of inclusive, open‑culture environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Aerodynamics, Aeronautics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Prior experience in a data quality or verification role, ideally within motorsport or high‑performance aerodynamics. ---
