**Job title:** Cloud Architect
**Role Summary:** Design, implement, and optimize hybrid cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, enabling automated, scalable, and cost‑effective infrastructure for delivery teams.
**Expectations:** Deliver end‑to‑end cloud architecture for enterprise workloads, lead automation initiatives, collaborate across engineering and operations teams, and ensure high availability, security, and performance in a hybrid environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement automated, dynamic Azure environments for delivery teams.
- Develop deployment strategies and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Azure DevOps).
- Build, configure, and manage Azure IaaS/PaaS components, including networking and security.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC (Terraform, ARM templates).
- Script and automate deployment, monitoring, and remediation with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Design high‑availability and site‑recovery solutions for enterprise workloads.
- Troubleshoot and resolve service‑related issues across cloud and on‑prem systems.
- Lead projects, coordinate with Systems, Development, and Application Support teams, and manage priorities under tight deadlines.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years in Azure cloud engineering and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong DevOps experience (CI/CD, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, GitHub/Azure Repos).
- Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Azure PaaS services.
- Expertise in cloud networking, operations, security, automation, and orchestration.
- Experience managing medium‑to‑large enterprise cloud infrastructures.
- IaC proficiency (Terraform, ARM templates).
- Operating system experience: Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows.
- High‑availability and site‑recovery design knowledge.
- Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Familiarity with Jira or equivalent project tracking tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, flexible mindset, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-303/304, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
