**Job title:** DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient DevOps practices for enterprise intelligence applications. Serve as a bridge between development, operations, and security teams to ensure rapid, high‑quality delivery of features and bug fixes while meeting strict national‑security requirements.
**Expectations:**
- Senior engineering level with 8‑10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (or TS with SCI eligibility).
- Proven track record in large‑scale, mission‑critical software environments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to design and evolve enterprise systems.
- Apply DevSecOps principles, automating build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and related tooling.
- Write, test, and integrate code in Java, Python (Poetry/Flask), and JavaScript (React/Angular/JQuery).
- Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, DocumentDB).
- Implement RESTful APIs, JSON/JSON‑linked data models, and Spring/Spring Boot microservices.
- Perform security hardening, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues in production.
**Required Skills:**
- DevSecOps: CI/CD, containerization (Docker), IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript (React ecosystem).
- Cloud: AWS services, including compute, storage, database, and search.
- Scripting: Bash, Python, or equivalent for automation.
- Source control: Git, GitLab, GitHub.
- Testing frameworks: JUnit, Jest, or equivalent.
- Security: Knowledge of IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and privileged access controls.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- **Education:** Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering, or Master’s/PhD with corresponding years of experience (≥ 8‑10 yrs).
- **Certifications:** 8570 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE for Privileged User Access).
- Security clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph or TS with SCI eligibility.
