**Job Title:** Senior Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary**
Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for a high‑growth event‑management platform. Drive automation, observability, and operational excellence while mentoring peers and ensuring reliability across services.
**Expactations**
- 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Backend Engineer.
- Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS/SQS, etc.).
- Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting in Java, JavaScript, or Python; containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS).
- Solid understanding of networking, observability, cloud security, IAM, and cost optimization.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and evolve resilient, scalable, cloud‑native infrastructure using AWS.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automation workflows (GitHub Actions, Terraform, Docker).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, etc.) to support rapid incident response.
- Harden security posture: IAM design, least‑privilege access, posture management, and compliance alignment.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, reliability risks, and devise scalable solutions.
- Mentor and coach engineers on infrastructure best practices, cloud efficiency, and secure deployment.
- Collaborate with backend, frontend, and data teams to optimize build, test, and release processes.
**Required Skills**
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS/SQS).
- Infrastructure Automation: Terraform, CloudFormation.
- CI/CD & Tools: GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes (ECS/EKS).
- Programming: Java, JavaScript, Python.
- Scripting: Bash/Shell, automation frameworks.
- Security: IAM, least‑privilege, cloud posture management.
- Observability: Log aggregation, metrics, tracing.
- Networking: VPC, subnets, Route 53, ELB.
- Cost Optimization: Rightsizing, reserved instances, cost dashboards.
- Ongoing learning and sharing of best practices.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or similar cloud‑security/operations credentials.
