**Job Title:** Software Engineer III (Web) **Role Summary:** Develop, maintain, and scale production web applications powering a high‑volume ticket marketplace. Utilize a modern front‑end stack (TypeScript, React, Next.js) to deliver innovative features, experiments, and performance‑focused solutions. Collaborate cross‑functionally, mentor peers, and drive best‑practice adoption throughout the software development lifecycle. **Expectations:** - **30 days:** Complete onboarding, learn ticket‑marketplace domain, understand team norms, tech stack, and development processes; begin deploying code to production. - **90 days:** Contribute to process improvements, participate in planning, estimations, and design sessions; deliver clean, quality code aligned with business goals; engage with stakeholders to iteratively deliver objectives. - **180 days:** Achieve self‑sufficiency across team applications, utilize observability tools for proactive issue detection, identify and implement system enhancements, and follow a personalized career‑growth plan. **Key Responsibilities:** - Influence technical direction of marketplace and related offerings. - Design and implement scalable web features and algorithms that maximize value and efficiency. - Conduct experiments and A/B tests to gain competitive advantage. - Collaborate with other development teams and business stakeholders to deliver iterative impact. - Establish and uphold best practices across the software development lifecycle. - Mentor engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and tech talks. - Write, test, and maintain high‑quality front‑end code; ensure robust CI/CD pipelines. - Monitor production systems using observability tools and proactively resolve issues. **Required Skills:** - 4+ years professional experience building and supporting production web applications. - Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Next.js. - Experience with client‑side state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand). - Familiarity with front‑end testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Enzyme, etc.). - Strong written and verbal communication for documenting and sharing best practices. - Exposure to design systems and A/B testing methodologies. - Optional backend experience (Java, Python, Node.js) is a plus. - Proactive mindset toward experimenting with and integrating AI tools for efficiency. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, **or** equivalent professional experience. - No specific certifications required.
