Job Description

**Job Title** GRC and Security Lead **Role Summary** Lead the Security, Audit, Risk and Compliance (SARC) function, focusing on cyber security, risk management and regulatory compliance. Responsible for incident response, business continuity, and oversight of internal/external audits and third‑party risk. Acts as the second line of defence and compliance SME across the organisation. **Expectations** - Deliver end‑to‑end security governance for a rapidly scaling tech company. - Demonstrate a proactive, hands‑on leadership style, driving change and solutions without delegation. - Maintain and improve security posture through policy, tools and continuous improvement. - Represent the company in industry forums and to senior executives. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Oversee cyber security strategy, including security‑by‑design, incident management, business continuity testing, and third‑party risk. 2. Serve as second line of defence: identify, document and manage risks across all business areas. 3. Own and maintain security, audit, risk and compliance policies, internal tools (e.g., Drata), and governance processes. 4. Lead internal and external audit readiness, action tracking, regulatory awareness and continuous improvement. 5. Act as compliance SME for projects, product changes and organisational initiatives; represent the organisation in relevant industry groups. 6. Function as Incident Commander for Major and High category incidents, and oversee business continuity and disaster recovery. **Required Skills** - 5+ years in security control implementation (information, data, organisational protection). - Strong cloud security expertise; red‑team mindset for threat identification and stress testing. - Proficiency in ISMS frameworks (ISO 27001). - Practical experience with GRC platforms for workflow streamlining and security posture communication. - Ability to assess and explain cloud and physical security threats and vulnerabilities. - Excellent problem‑solving, judgement under pressure, and clear communication (written, verbal, client‑facing). - Leadership in client conversations; comfortable reporting to senior executives/board. - Dynamic self‑starter with a “no that’s‑not‑my‑job” attitude, capable of fast decision‑making in a scale‑up environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Academic background in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s or higher). - Valid certifications such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/ Auditor, or equivalent.
