Job title: Senior ServiceNow Developer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, development, and optimization of ServiceNow integration solutions across a complex enterprise environment. Own the end‑to‑end technical lifecycle, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable integrations with enterprise systems, third‑party applications, APIs, and data services.
Expectations:
- 6–10+ years of ServiceNow development experience, with at least 3+ years focused on integrations.
- Deep expertise in IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, Scripted REST APIs, MID Server orchestration, and web service integrations (REST/SOAP).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, scoped application development, and authentication frameworks (OAuth 2.0, JWT, Mutual TLS).
- Ability to architect, build, and troubleshoot complex, distributed integration solutions.
- Strong communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations using IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, scripted APIs, MID Servers, REST/SOAP, message queues, and web services.
- Lead integration architecture for new capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and governance.
- Create reusable integration frameworks, patterns, and templates.
- Build and enhance Script Includes, Business Rules, Transform Maps, Import Sets, and custom APIs.
- Support platform upgrades, runbook automation, and integration hardening.
- Troubleshoot failures and performance issues; implement corrective measures.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (EA, Security, HRIS, ITSM, ITOM, vendors) to define requirements.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert on API design, authentication, and secure data exchange.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and conduct peer reviews.
- Produce architectural diagrams, sequence flows, mapping documents, and operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, data retention, and audit standards.
- Contribute to governance models, coding standards, and CI/CD automation.
Required Skills:
- ServiceNow integration design and implementation (IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, scripted REST APIs).
- JavaScript, Glide API, scoped application development.
- Authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, Mutual TLS).
- REST/SOAP web services, message queues, MID Server orchestration.
- Troubleshooting distributed systems.
