Job title: Cloud Consultant
Role Summary:
Lead the design, deployment, and continuous optimization of enterprise cloud and network infrastructures. Drive automation, scalability, reliability, and security across multi‑cloud environments while integrating DevOps practices and monitoring solutions.
Expectations:
- Deliver high‑quality cloud solutions that meet business scalability, performance, and security objectives.
- Mentor and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on cloud strategy and automation best practices.
- Own the full lifecycle of cloud and network architecture from requirement gathering to post‑deployment support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architect and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
2. Design and manage network topologies, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP routing, and related security controls.
3. Build and maintain automation pipelines with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash scripts.
4. Integrate CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to accelerate delivery cycles.
5. Deploy and monitor containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitor performance using Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
6. Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization for cloud resources.
7. Provide troubleshooting, incident response, and root‑cause analysis for infrastructure and network issues.
8. Create and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑base articles.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates.
- Expertise in network automation with Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
- Advanced scripting in Python and Bash for automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or comparable.
- Terraform Associate certification (preferred).
