Job Description

**Job Title** Software Engineer **Role Summary** Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for next‑generation satellite ground systems, ensuring requirements, system design, interface definition, and verification/validation across the lifecycle. Work collaboratively in an Agile environment with cross‑functional engineering teams and secure a certification-based security clearance. **Expectations** - 12‑month contract with potential extension. - Active TS/SCI clearance at the start, ability to obtain Polygraph. - Minimum 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and maintain multi‑tiered, cloud‑native (AWS) architectures and microservices for satellite mission management and command‑and‑control. - Translate requirements into robust system design and interface specifications. - Implement verification and validation activities throughout the software lifecycle. - Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives) using SAFe principles. - Apply DevSecOps practices, building automated CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jira, Confluence). - Integrate and test components with satellite ground‑system subsystems (command & telemetry, flight dynamics, scheduling). - Utilize testing frameworks (Cucumber, AMMP) and quality gates (SonarQube). - Collaborate with backend (Java, C++, Python) and frontend (Angular, WIGS) teams for full-stack solutions. **Required Skills** - Strong object‑oriented programming in Java and C++, with experience in Linux environments. - Proficiency with Python, Git, Docker/Kubernetes, Oracle/PostgreSQL. - Experience with Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket). - Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to satellite ground‑system technologies (command & telemetry, flight dynamics). - Familiarity with M2C2 or Rushmore program software development. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). - Active TS/SCI security clearance (certified prior to start).
