**Job Title:** Staff DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and automation frameworks across multiple business units. Acts as a technical mentor, drives best‑practice adoption, and supports product innovation through robust, scalable infrastructure on public cloud environments.
**Expectations:**
- 8‑10+ years of IT experience with a focus on DevOps/Platform engineering.
- Proven ability to lead automation initiatives and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to relocate at personal expense if required.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage and optimize CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Helm) and processes for diverse applications.
- Automate software development, release, operations, and maintenance workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and training to development teams on CI/CD and automation toolsets.
- Oversee DevOps responsibilities for the Apigee platform.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance infrastructure using Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, and related container technologies.
- Create and support Bash scripts and tooling (e.g., Alfred, AngularJS/PHP components).
- Research and evaluate open‑source solutions to address automation challenges.
- Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, Ansible, or cloud‑init.
- Support and improve existing cloud environments on AWS and other public clouds (OCI, Google Cloud).
**Required Skills:**
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes.
- CI/CD platforms: GitLab CI, Jenkins, Helm.
- Programming/scripting: Bash, Java, Spring, Go, PHP, Python.
- Linux system administration.
- Cloud platforms: AWS (mandatory), familiarity with OCI/Google Cloud a plus.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, cloud‑init.
- Virtualization basics (VMware, Hyper‑V) preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- No specific certifications required, though AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar DevOps certifications are advantageous.
