Python Developer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and maintain large‑scale data engineering and analytics solutions in an agile, DevOps‑driven environment. Lead the architecture and implementation of Azure‑based data pipelines, services, and BI applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end solutions that integrate data ingestion, processing, and visual analytics on Azure.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, data science, and business intelligence teams to translate requirements into robust code.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on best practices for cloud, CI/CD, and data pipelines.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain Azure data pipelines using Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Functions.
- Develop scalable Python and Spark scripts for data transformation, enrichment, and loading into data lakes (ADLS, Data Lake) and warehouses (Snowflake, Azure SQL, Oracle).
- Design and optimize SQL queries for large‑volume data manipulation across Teradata, Couchbase, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Terraform to automate deployment of data assets and analytics dashboards.
- Create and maintain interactive BI visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos) and support analytics teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance of data services, ensuring data quality and security compliance.
- Document architecture, data models, and coding standards in a clear, maintainable format.
**Required Skills**

- **Spark** (structured streaming, batch processing)
- **SQL** (advanced query optimization, join techniques)
- **Data Platform Expertise** – Teradata, Couchbase, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake
- **Azure Cloud Technologies** – Event Hubs, Data Factory, Databricks, Blob Storage, Data Lake, Power Apps, Functions, DevOps, Power BI
- **BI Tools** – Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Alteryx, Denodo, Grafana
- **CI/CD & Infrastructure-as-Code** – GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform
- Strong scripting skills (Unix/Linux shell, Bash, PowerShell)
- Agile methodology experience (Scrum/Kanban)
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in software development, data engineering, and BI within an agile DevOps environment.
- Azure Development Track Certification (preferred).
- Spark Certification (preferred).
