Job title: Python Developer
Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain Python-based tooling and integrations for public‑cloud vulnerability scanning and related platforms, ensuring efficient data flow, automation, and reporting.
Expactations: Minimum 5 years of strong Python development experience (or equivalent in Perl, Java, C/C++). Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience. Proven ability to work in Agile Kanban/Scrum environments, manage code via version control, and implement CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitHub, or Stash. Hands‑on knowledge of vulnerability platforms (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7) and security concepts (CVEs, CPE, NIST, OWASP, MITRE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Python tooling for integration between vulnerability scanners and internal/external services.
- Develop and manage environment configuration processes (Dev/QA/Prod) and automated deployment pipelines.
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and backlog grooming to deliver stable releases.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to drive operational excellence and reduce inefficiencies.
- Evaluate new technologies and contribute to strategy discussions.
- Document systems, processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and platform sustainability.
Required Skills:
- Advanced Python programming.
- Linux and Windows command‑line proficiency.
- DevOps practices: CI/CD, version control, issue tracking (Jira or equivalents).
- Experience integrating CVE/CPE/NIST data and working with vulnerability scanners (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7).
- Networking fundamentals: IP, subnetting, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS, NAT, load balancing.
- Analytical troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and strong verbal and written communication.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as Certified Python Developer, AWS Certified Developer, or relevant security credentials are a plus.
