**Job title**
Healthcare QA Specialist – Senior
**Role Summary**
Senior QA specialist responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic health systems and clinical software. Performs comprehensive manual and automated testing across multiple healthcare applications, validates database integrity, API functionality, and data interoperability (FHIR, HL7). Works closely with development, business, and operational teams to adhere to regulatory standards and project timelines.
**Expactations**
- Deliver high‑quality test artifacts within defined sprints.
- Maintain test documentation and provide status reports.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide risk assessment.
- Continuously improve testing processes and automation coverage.
- Mentor junior testers on healthcare domain standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop and execute test plans and test cases for PCOI, CMTA, OLIS, PCR, SMILE/CMRO, OAG and related modules.
- Perform manual functional, regression, performance, security and data integrity testing.
- Automate UI and web-services tests using Selenium, WebDriver, SOAPUI, and other tools.
- Create test data and SQL queries for Oracle and relational databases.
- Validate API endpoints, RESTful services, and authentication mechanisms (SAML, OAuth 2.0, JWT).
- Verify FHIR messages and HL7 data structures for accuracy and compliance.
- Log defects in JIRA, coordinate debugging, and verify fixes.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and system integrators to resolve issues and improve quality.
- Participate in post‑go‑live support and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Required Skills**
- Manual and automated testing of electronic health‑related applications.
- Experience with Oracle/SQL database testing (data creation, queries).
- RESTful API testing and authentication (SAML, OAuth 2.0, JWT).
- UI testing with Selenium/Selenium WebDriver; web service testing with SOAPUI.
- Automated testing experience (data‑driven, Selenium, Dexter).
- Knowledge of FHIR and HL7 standards and message validation.
- Familiarity with healthcare software: PCOI, CMTA, OLIS, PCR, SMILE/CMRO, OAG.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in JIRA and test management tools.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification preferred (e.g., ISTQB Advanced or Professional).
- Prior exposure to healthcare domain standards is an advantage.
