**Job title**
DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Drive cloud modernization, automation, and resilience within high‑availability, high‑traffic Kubernetes environments. Responsible for implementing Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, load and chaos testing, performance audits, and scaling strategies while mentoring and training teams on best practices.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5 years of DevOps / SRE experience.
- Proven track record in production‑grade, highly available, traffic‑intensive services on Kubernetes.
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for knowledge sharing (trainings, workshops, post‑mortem reviews).
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Willingness to work hybrid (2‑3 days remote per week).
**Key Responsibilities**
- Onboard and train teams on modern cloud practices (cloud architecture, IaC, 12‑factor app design).
- Develop and enforce a culture of stability and resilience through reviews, workshops, and post‑mortems.
- Build and maintain automated load testing (Gatling) and chaos engineering workflows.
- Conduct regular performance and resilience audits; recommend and implement concrete optimizations.
- Guide teams on pre‑scaling, sizing, and scaling of infrastructure and applications.
- Produce and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge artifacts for cross‑team use.
**Required Skills**
- Cloud & IaC: AWS, Terraform, Helm, Helmfile.
- Kubernetes: advanced usage including Keda, Envoy, Gloo Gateway.
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions.
- Performance & Chaos Engineering: Gatling (and related chaos tools).
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, NewRelic, VictoriaMetrics, Wiz, Alertmanager.
- Programming: Go (or strong ability to learn).
- Automation, scripting, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Microservices architecture and deployment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands‑on experience in large‑scale cloud environments.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator, or Terraform Associate are a plus.
