**Job Title:** Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Build, maintain, and evolve a secure, scalable, and observable cloud platform to support high‑performance trading applications. Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and risk teams to deliver reliable infrastructure, enforce compliance, and optimize cost.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver cloud solutions that meet performance, security, and regulatory standards.
- Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using IaC and CI/CD.
- Provide technical support and incident response for infrastructure issues.
- Communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud services (compute, storage, networking, databases).
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, ensuring modularity and version control.
- Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines for frequent, safe deployments.
- Monitor cloud spend, right‑size resources, and recommend cost‑saving measures.
- Configure observability (metrics, logs, tracing) using Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing tools.
- Set up automated alerts and participate in incident triage and root‑cause analysis.
- Implement least‑privilege IAM, permission boundaries, and dynamic role management.
- Integrate security tools (CSPM, vulnerability scanners) into DevSecOps workflows.
- Manage secrets, SSL/TLS certificate rotation, and dynamic credentials.
- Support compliance activities for SOC 2, FINRA, and related audit requirements.
**Required Skills:**
- 3+ years managing cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Proficiency with Terraform and at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, or C#).
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps practices.
- Experience with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, tracing).
- Understanding of IAM, permission boundaries, and secrets management.
- Familiarity with security tooling (CSPM, vulnerability scanning).
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and independent work ethic.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
- Experience in regulated environments (SOC 2, FINRA) preferred.
