**Job title**
Senior Architectural Technologist
**Role Summary**
Lead the technical delivery of architectural projects, ensuring accurate design development, documentation, and compliance with building regulations. Act as the technical liaison between design teams, clients, and construction contractors, particularly for defence sector commissions.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. Lead technical design activities for diverse architectural projects, including concept, development, and technical specification stages.
2. Produce and review architectural drawings, BIM models, and construction documents.
3. Coordinate BIM workflow, clash detection, and model updating across multidisciplinary teams.
4. Ensure compliance with national building codes, safety regulations, and defence‑specific requirements.
5. Manage technical aspects of project documentation, cost estimation, and progress reports.
6. Supervise and mentor junior architectural technologists and drafting staff.
7. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
8. Conduct technical inspections and quality assurance activities on site.
9. Provide guidance on material selection, construction techniques, and sustainable design solutions.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency with BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Strong technical drafting and detailing abilities.
- Solid understanding of building regulations, fire safety, and construction methods.
- Experience in project coordination, cost control, and schedule management.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional registration or certification (e.g., RIBA Part 1/2, B.Sc. Architectural Technology, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in architectural technology roles, with exposure to large‑scale or defence‑sector projects.
