Job Description: **Job Title:** Cloud Engineer II – VMware **Role Summary:** Support and enhance customer experience for post‑implementation of cloud services, focusing on VMware environments. Act as primary support contact, triage tickets, resolve issues, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain high service levels. **Expactations:** - Deliver timely, high‑quality support (phone/email) meeting SLA commitments. - Manage ticket intake, triage, and escalation processes efficiently. - Participate in on‑call rotation and handle after‑hours incidents. - Own incident tickets, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction. - Adhere to company policies, data privacy, and ethics. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Serve as first‑line support for VMware, Zerto, Veeam, vCenter, vCloud Director, VMware Configuration Manager. 2. Triage and resolve tickets for enterprise cloud infra and DR customers. 3. Escalate complex issues to L3 or other internal teams. 4. Manage scalable, highly available virtualized infrastructures. 5. Implement and maintain multiple virtual environments. 6. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (infrastructure, development, product). 7. Conduct on‑call rotation and respond to after‑hours incidents. 8. Follow service‑management best practices and data‑handling policies. **Required Skills:** - 2+ years recent hands‑on VMware administration (vCenter, vSphere, vCloud). - Experience with VMware backup/replication tools (Zerto, Veeam). - Proficiency in virtualization and cloud infra (VMware, OpenStack, AWS). - Strong troubleshooting, incident resolution, and escalation skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, goal‑driven. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). - VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent VMware certification highly desirable. - Additional certifications in backup/replication (Veeam, Zerto) or cloud platforms (AWS, OpenStack) are a plus.
