Job Description: Job Title: Java Developer (API, Docker, Jira) – Contract Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Participate fully in the SDLC—coding, debugging, unit testing with JUnit, and deployment. Integrate APIs with external systems, ensuring performance, security, and responsiveness. Manage containerized deployments via Docker and contribute to continuous improvement of internal applications. Engage in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders and end users. Expactations: - Deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable API solutions. - Meet sprint commitments and adhere to Agile best practices. - Produce maintainable code with comprehensive unit tests. - Effectively communicate technical details to non‑technical stakeholders. - Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and evolve REST APIs in Java/Spring Boot. - Write and run JUnit tests; conduct code reviews and debugging. - Integrate third‑party services, handling authentication and data protection. - Containerize applications with Docker; support CI/CD pipelines. - Use Jira for issue tracking, task prioritization, and sprint execution. - Collaborate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings. Required Skills: - 7+ years of Java application development experience. - Strong proficiency with Spring Boot, RESTful services, and JUnit. - Experience with Docker containerization and deployment practices. - Familiarity with Jira, version control (Git), and Agile workflows. - Knowledge of security principles, data protection, and high‑performance API design. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with end users. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. (No mandatory certifications required.)
