Job Description
**Job Title**: Junior Software Engineer **Role Summary**: Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including data-intensive analytics, real-time systems, and algorithm development. Contribute to system design, testing, and integration while supporting hardware/software trade-offs and reuse strategies. **Expectations**: Collaborate in team or individual settings, resolve software defects, and translate user requirements into functional software solutions. Analyze and improve development processes and documentation standards. **Key Responsibilities**: - Design, code, and modify software to add features or enhance existing systems. - Conduct software testing and reviews, document results, and resolve issue reports. - Integrate software into new/modified systems and operating environments. - Develop data queries for databases and repositories. - Provide technical input for system design, including COTS/GOTS implementation. **Required Skills**: - Analyze user requirements to create software design specifications. - Debug software and implement corrective actions. - Utilize software development methodologies (e.g., iterative, agile) for project environments. - Collaborate cross-functionally on complex system design and trade-off analysis. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from accredited institution; or 4 years of prior software engineering experience. - Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
