**Job Title**
Senior Cloud Security Engineer – SRE
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and operation of secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on site‑reliability engineering. Drive automation, incident response, and continuous improvement across multiple cloud platforms while ensuring compliance and resilience.
**Expectations**
- Lead cross‑functional projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Own end‑to‑end security and reliability for multi‑cloud services.
- Deliver measurable improvements in automation, observability, and incident post‑mortems.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and maintain secure, highly available infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby for deployment, scaling, and compliance enforcement.
- Configure and manage container environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) with security hardening.
- Design and enforce monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
- Perform incident management, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation.
- Implement and enforce SLOs/SLAs, capacity planning, and redundancy strategies.
- Collaborate with software, product, and DevOps teams to embed security best practices in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, and internal security standards.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced programming/scripting (Python, Go, Bash, Ruby).
- Deep Linux/Unix systems administration.
- IaC proficiency (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Cloud expertise: AWS, Azure, GCP (EC2, S3, Kubernetes, serverless).
- Container & orchestration expertise (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, load balancers, VPN).
- Monitoring/Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
- CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Strong understanding of HashiCorp Vault, Terraform, and security principles (access control, encryption).
- Incident response, performance tuning, and post‑mortem ownership.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years of senior engineering or consulting experience, including 5+ years managing large‑scale cloud projects and data center consolidation.
- Proven experience with program management frameworks, matrix management, and project management tools.
