Job Title: AVEVA System Platform Specialist
Role Summary: Senior Automation Engineer responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Aveva System Platform (Galaxy) and Intouch HMI environments in pharmaceutical manufacturing settings, ensuring compliance with GMP, ITIL, and safety standards.
Expectations: Provide Level 2/3 technical support, lead incident investigation and resolution, apply ITIL/ITSM practices, maintain high availability and data integrity of control systems, document all changes and incidents per audit requirements, and collaborate with on‑site shift teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain Aveva System Platform ecosystems – deployment, Galaxy configuration, object templates, and system updates.
• Support and evolve object‑oriented architectures, templates, instances, and communications within Galaxies.
• Develop, update, and troubleshoot Intouch HMI applications linked to System Platform for real‑time operation.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for alarms, historian data, redundancy, failover, and real‑time data integrity issues.
• Apply ITIL/ITSM practices for incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Ensure secure, validated, and compliant system configurations; meet pharmaceutical GMP standards.
• Guarantee seamless connectivity between application servers, Intouch view nodes, field I/O, and supervisory layers.
• Document incident reports, technical changes, and configurations in line with quality and audit requirements.
Required Skills:
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Aveva System Platform (Galaxy design, template creation, deployment, redundancy/failover).
• Strong knowledge of Intouch HMI development and debugging (standalone & distributed).
• Proven incident investigation, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑resolution in control‑system environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks, including practical use of ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, etc.
• Experience in pharmaceutical GMP environments; understanding of compliance‑driven processes.
• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs (S7‑300, S7‑400, S7‑1500) and PCS 7 architecture sufficient for diagnostics (programming not required).
• Ability to work on‑site, shift‑based covering production‑critical systems.
• Proficiency in Dutch or French preferred.
• Exposure to ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITSM training.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Control Systems Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience with vendor training).
• Aveva Certified System Platform Developer preferred.
• Siemens or PCS 7 training courses (advantageous).
• Certifications or experience in pharmaceutical process industries, biotechnology, chemical, oil & gas, energy, or utilities.
