**Job Title** Lead AI Engineer **Role Summary** Senior, hands‑on AI engineer tasked with establishing and scaling the entire AI function for a fast‑growing SaaS startup. Lead the design, architecture, and production deployment of a new AI‑native platform, replace legacy SaaS tools with intelligent agents, and embed AI into core business processes. Directly report to the CEO, set technical strategy, and manage a small AI team while staying execution‑focused. **Expectations** - Own the technical direction and architecture of AI across the organization. - Lead the development of a brand‑new AI platform from scratch. - Deliver production‑grade AI agents that replace traditional SaaS tools. - Build scalable agent infrastructure and a company‑wide AI ecosystem. - Re‑engineer product and engineering workflows to maximize AI productivity. - Make critical decisions on architecture, security, scalability, and deployment. - Hire, mentor, and grow a high‑performance AI team. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Define and own the AI technical strategy and roadmap. 2. Design, implement, and ship an end‑to‑end AI‑native platform. 3. Create and deploy AI agents for operations, reporting, and communication. 4. Develop internal agent infrastructure and scalable AI ecosystems. 5. Refactor product and engineering pipelines to integrate AI workflows. 6. Work hands‑on with LLM tooling (Claude, Cursor, etc.) to boost engineering velocity. 7. Ensure architecture, security, scalability, and deployment meet business goals. 8. Lead future AI hiring efforts while maintaining deep technical involvement. **Required Skills** - Proven senior AI/ML engineering experience. - Expertise in large language models and AI tooling (Claude, Cursor, etc.). - Strong background in designing scalable AI infrastructure and production systems. - Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI (Python, Java, etc.). - Knowledge of AI architecture, security, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD. - Leadership and mentorship abilities; experience building and guiding technical teams. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in AI/ML platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) are a plus but not mandatory.
