Job Title: ITSM/ITAM Lead Developer
Role Summary
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow ITSM/ITAM/HAM Pro solutions for a public sector client. Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of ServiceNow customizations, integrations, and optimization while ensuring adherence to platform governance, ITIL practices, and Agile delivery.

- Deliver scalable, compliant ServiceNow applications that meet business and ITAM requirements.
- Collaborate across business, QA, and architecture teams to define scope and drive sprint delivery.
- Maintain high code quality, documented deployments, and performance standards.
- Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and support continuous improvement of development processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow modules: ITSM, HRSD, CMDB, ITOM, ITAM, and HAM Pro.
2. Configure HAM Pro features – asset lifecycle automation, normalization, reclamation workflows, reconciliation rules, and discovery integration.
3. Build and maintain integrations with external asset/procurement systems via REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, or MID Server.
4. Create UI pages, dashboards, portals, catalog items, record producers, and Flow Designer automations to enhance asset visibility and request processing.
5. Participate in requirements analysis, design discussions, and sprint planning within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
6. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve development and production issues.
7. Support platform upgrades, patches, and performance tuning specific to HAM Pro modules.
8. Produce and maintain technical documentation, version control, and deployment pipelines.
9. Validate adherence to ServiceNow development best practices and ITAM standards.
Required Skills
- 12+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development and customization.
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow ITAM/HAM Pro configuration (normalization, data models, lifecycle automation).
- Proficient in JavaScript, Glide APIs, client‑side and server‑side scripting, Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, Catalog Client Scripts.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, CMDB, asset relationships, and CI/CD processes (update sets, source control, deployment).
- Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC, and issue tracking.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced environments.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – mandatory.
- Additional certifications such as CIS ITAM, HAM, ITSM, or ServiceNow Application Developer preferred.
