AI Security Engineer (Generative AI Focused)
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain security controls for generative AI systems. Collaborate with AI, development, and operations teams to identify vulnerabilities, protect data and models, and ensure compliance with security standards. Monitor AI operations, respond to incidents, and continuously improve the AI security posture.
**Expectations**
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on AI/ML environments.
- Demonstrated competence in securing AI models, data, and infrastructure.
- Ability to translate emerging threat intelligence into actionable security improvements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of AI projects and infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce AI‑specific security policies, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Integrate security best practices into the AI development lifecycle.
- Deploy and manage AI‑driven threat detection and monitoring solutions.
- Perform security testing (e.g., penetration, fuzzing) on AI models and related services.
- Respond to incidents, investigate breaches, and coordinate with external partners.
- Provide security training and guidance to engineering, product, and data science teams.
- Stay current on AI and cybersecurity threats, regulations, and industry standards.
**Required Skills**
- Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, neural networks, and generative models.
- Proficiency in Python or R for AI development and security tooling.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001) and compliance requirements.
- Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience focused on AI/ML.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or equivalent in AI security are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud security and container orchestration is a plus.
