**Job title:** Communications Officer, Atlantic (French Services)
**Role Summary:**
Coordinate and execute brand activations and community events across Atlantic Canada to enhance Radio‑Canada’s visibility and audience engagement. Work collaboratively with partnership, marketing, and creative teams to deliver impactful, brand‑aligned experiences primarily in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
**Expectations:**
- Lead end‑to‑end development of events and activations that promote the public broadcaster’s properties.
- Negotiate and administer partnership agreements, marketing plans, and contest-related activities.
- Manage event logistics, budgets, and post‑event performance reviews.
- Deliver bilingual (French‑French, with English support) communication materials and media releases.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and roll out original activations and major events across Atlantic provinces.
- Draft, negotiate, monitor, and implement partnership agreements.
- Coordinate marketing communication plans to maximise exposure of initiatives.
- Create clear strategic briefs for field teams and stakeholders.
- Plan event calendar, production schedules, location scouting, and budget management.
- Oversee contest copywriting, rule drafting, legal approvals, supplier and prize management.
- Draft and issue news releases with media relations team.
- Guide programming and technical teams on remote setups tied to community activities.
- Coordinate ambassador services, training, and support during partnership activities.
- Evaluate and optimise performance of implemented solutions; conduct post‑mortems.
- Manage partnership email inquiries and support event cultural‑mediation operations.
**Required Skills:**
- French speaking, reading, writing – advanced (C level).
- Intermediate English proficiency (asset).
- Strong negotiation, planning, and organizational competencies.
- Leadership, self‑direction, sound judgement, initiative.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Creative design of promotional events and activities.
- Proficiency with project‑management tools (Google Sheets, Calendar, Jira, Canva).
- Superior editorial, communication, and writing skills in French.
- Knowledge of CBC/Radio‑Canada mandate and programming.
- Understanding of marketing principles, brand‑building, and Acadian creative community.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Availability for irregular schedules and long shifts.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- University degree in communications, advertising, marketing, or a related field, or substantial equivalent experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in similar communications or event‑management roles.
